About Collected Maximalism

Collected Maximalism is an independent interior design publication created by Bhawana Verma, author, creative entrepreneur, and design storyteller.

I created Collected Maximalism as a space to explore my love of layered interiors, heritage influences, art, antiques, pattern, color, and homes that feel as though they have evolved slowly over time.

My approach to interiors is rooted in the belief that a beautiful home does not need to be perfectly minimal or designed around passing trends. I’m interested in spaces with depth, character, memory, and personality — rooms where art, books, textiles, collected objects, vintage pieces, and different periods can live together naturally.

Through Collected Maximalism, I explore:

  • Layered interior design and styling
  • European and Old World influences
  • Dark academia interiors
  • Art, antiques, and collected objects
  • Color palette studies
  • Pattern and texture mixing
  • Heritage-inspired rooms
  • Vintage and antique-inspired decor
  • Curated furniture and decor finds
  • The design principles behind rooms with character

Some articles are practical guides, while others explore the philosophy behind why certain rooms feel warm, interesting, personal, or timeless.

Collected Maximalism is ultimately about creating a home that tells a story — not through more for the sake of more, but through thoughtful layering and meaningful collection.

I’m Bhawana Verma, and everything I publish here is shaped by my own design perspective, research, observations, and years of working creatively across interiors, visual storytelling, writing, and digital publishing.

Welcome to Collected Maximalism — a home for interiors with history, imagination, and soul.
